I chose the Photos team because I enjoy photographing nature around me and sharing images that other people can use. This team allows me to contribute creatively to WordPress and shows me that participating in an open-source project does not always require writing code.
My project, “Nature Around Me,” focuses on contributing original photographs of flowers, plants, trees, and other natural subjects to the WordPress Photo Directory. My mentor has approved the project. My goal is to have at least 30 photographs accepted and published under CC0. So far, I have submitted 10 photographs, and 5 have been approved.
During the program, I hope to improve my photography skills, especially composition, lighting, and photo selection. I also want to learn how to write clear alternative text and respond to feedback from the moderation team. By the end of the program, I hope to have contributed useful images to the WordPress community and documented my progress on this website.
